Masons celebrate 50th anniversary

Jim and Mary Ellen Mason, of 212 S. Apple St., Hart, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

Mrs. Mason is the former Mary Ellen Cain. The couple married Sept, 6,1964 in Swanton, Ohio.

Their children are Russell (Charlotte) Mason of Hawaii; Natalie (Bob) Adams of Hart; and Andrew (Karen) Mason of Williamston, Mich. They have 10 grandchildren: Erica, Mason, Forrest, Chris, John, Shelby, Luke, David, Josiah and Matthew.

After moving to Hart in 1972, Jim taught school; was assistant principal and athletic director; and coached many sports, mainly football. Mary Ellen taught school as well. They’ve impacted countless lives through teaching, coaching, volunteering, and serving their church.
