HART — The following were sentenced Tuesday by Judge Anthony A. Monton in 27th Circuit Court:
– James Edward West, 30, of 2116 Lakeshore Dr., Muskegon, pled no contest Nov. 2, 2009 to accosting children for immoral purposes. He was sentenced Sept. 2 to one year in jail with credit for 180 days served; sentence to be served at the court’s discretion with nine months forthwith; and $473.60 in fines and costs. “Defendant will be unsuccessfully discharged from probation,” his court file states.
– Kenneth Eugene White, 73, of 3740 E. Harrison Rd., Walkerville, pled no contest July 7 to assault – weapon. He was sentenced Sept. 2 to six months in jail
with credit for 13 days served; sentence to be served at the court’s discretion with 45 days forthwith; must report on Oct. 15; one year probation; $198 in fines and costs; may not engage in any assaultive behavior; may not use any object as a weapon; must comply with all court orders; must allow probation agent into his residence for supervision purposes; must submit to searches of his person, place or auto; must report any police contact, loss of employment or change of residence within 24 hours; and may not have any contact, directly or indirectly with victim and must not be within 500 feet of victim’s residence, school or place of employment. One count of assault – weapon and one count of felony firearms were dismissed.
– Paul Joseph Rosse, 49, of 2525 N. Oceana Dr., Hart, was found guilty July 7 of
common law fraud. He was sentenced Sept. 2 to six months in jail with credit for one day served; sentence to be served at the court’s discretion; serve 10 consecutive weekends beginning Sept. 5; $22,953.80 restitution; and $198 in fines and costs.
