District Court sentencings

HART – The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

–      Jacob Thomas Kruisenga, 18, of 216 Lincoln St., Hart, was found guilty July 14 of assault or assault and battery. He was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail and a $75 fine.

–      Dustin James Videtich, 26, of 8547 Robinhood Dr., Montague, was found guilty July 14 of domestic violence. He was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail; $925 in fines and costs; no alcohol/drugs and subject to testing, counseling and searches.

–      Patrick Allen Amstutz, 47, of 3387 Green St., Shelby, was found guilty July 14 of operating while intoxicated. He was sentenced to nine days in jail; 93 days discretionary jail; $1,665 in fines and costs; six months probation; no alcohol/drugs and subject to counseling, testing and searches; and outpatient substance abuse counseling. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

–      Karolyn Kay Buozis, 54, of 520 E. Main St., Hart, was found guilty June 23 of operating while impaired. She was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail; outpatient treatment; and $1,040 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

–      Derrick John Sutton, 26, of 167 St., Apt. 1, Shelby, was found guilty July 14 of operating under the influence of liquor/OWI, second offense. He was sentenced to one year discretionary jail; name off title within 30 days or immobilize within 90 days; $1,780 in fines and costs; six months probation; outpatient treatment; and no alcohol/drugs and subject to counseling, testing and searches. Conviction reportable to SOS.

–      Kenneth Lee Franks, 29, of 4272 S. Virginia Dr., Muskegon, was found guilty July 15 of operating while impaired. He was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail; must complete six weeks of AA classes; and $1,040 in fines and costs. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed. Conviction reportable to SOS.

–      Raymond Lloyd Waller, 25, of 31636 Pembroke St., Livonia, was found guilty July 14 of ORV – operating under the influence of liquor. He was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail; substance abuse counseling; ORV driving privileges suspended six months; and $650 in fines and costs. One count of OUIL/OWI, second offense, was dismissed.

–      Daniel Lee Luce, 32, of 407 Thomas St., Scottville, pleaded no contest to July 14 of receiving and concealing stolen property. He was sentenced to one year discretionary jail; six months probation; no alcohol/drugs and subject to counseling, testing and searches; and $400 in fines and costs. Probation officer to review if there is any restitution to be ordered.

–      Richard Owen Lathers, 40, of 901 N. Lavinia St., Ludington, was found guilty July 14 of trespassing. He was sentenced to 30 days discretionary jail and $225 in fines and costs. One count of larceny less than $200 was dismissed.

William Craig Buchanan, 27, of 7736 W. Fox Rd., Hart, was found guilty July 14 of larceny less than $200. He was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail and a $75 fine.
