911 informational meetings

July 10, 2014

Mason-Oceana 911 has scheduled four public meetings to present information regarding the August 5, 2014 ballot new millage request for 0.14 mils for 6 years.  The meetings will feature a 1 hour presentation highlighting 911’s day to day operations and a discussion of future funding.  Audience questions will be encouraged.

“Few people see or understand what we do inside Mason-Oceana 911.  We are a critical piece of the public safety response puzzle that few people ever see.”, said Director Ray Hasil.  “The meetings will give a comprehensive look inside Mason-Oceana 911 with time dedicated to 911 funding and our budget plans for years 2015-2017.”

Two meetings are scheduled in each county.  The meetings in Oceana County are Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 6 p.m. at Hart Area Public Library and Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 6 p.m. at Grant Township Hall in Rothbury.

There are also two dates scheduled for Mason County:  Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at 6 p.m. at Mason County District Library Ludington Branch and Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 6 p.m. at Custer Fire Department.

Members of the 911 Board will also be in attendance at each meeting.
