District Court sentencings

HART – The following were sentenced recently in 78th District Court:

–      John Joseph Norman, Jr., 17, of 2838 E. Garfield Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty June 23 of driving while license suspended. He was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

–      Mitchell Ray Efaw, 20, of 1728 Ann St., East Lansing, was found guilty June 23 of operating while intoxicated. He was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail; $1,140 in fines and costs; and Alcohol Highway Safety Education. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating with a high blood alcohol content was dismissed.

–      Mark Rainy Metts, 58, of 194 N. Leavitt St., Walkerville, was found guilty June 23 of disturbing the peace. He was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $450 in fines and costs. One count of controlled substance, possession of marijuana was dismissed.

–      Brooke Nicole Campbell, 33, of 732 W. Michigan Ave., Marshall, Mich., was found guilty June 23 of disorderly person – drunk. She was sentenced to 90 days discretionary jail and $400 in fines and costs. One count of domestic violence was dismissed.

–      Robert William Barnes, 48, of 7265 S. 108th Ave., Rothbury, was found guilty June 9 of larceny, less than $200. He was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail and $460 in fines, costs and restitution.

–      Tresa Brianna Anderson, 22, of 17 Griswold St., Hart, was found guilty June 23 of receiving and concealing stolen property. She was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail and a $75 fine.
