North State Street closes Saturday for major reconstruction project

HART — North State Street will be closed in the city between East Main Street and Hilltop Drive beginning this Saturday until early August as Hallack Contracting, Inc. tackles a major reconstruction project.

Hart Township has also retained Hallack Contracting, which will concurrently reconstruct North State Street between Hilltop Drive and Oceana Drive, said Hart City Manager Stan Rickard. “The city portion of the work is contracted at $565,000 using city street/electric improvement funds and state road/bridge funds, and the Hart Township portion is estimated at $200,000,” Rickard said.  “Please be patient and seek alternate routes.  These projects are a temporary inconvenience for a long-term improvement.”
