HART – The following were sentenced in 27th Circuit Court this week:
– Rodney Alvin Ramthun, 47, of 4080 Baker Rd., Shelby, pleaded “no contest,” March 21, to assault – weapon. He was sentenced, May 12, to one year in jail with credit for 161 days served and $400 in fines and costs. Once he serves 270 days, the court will authorize him to enter a residential assault and substance abuse treatment program approved by the probation agent, and upon successful completion, he will receive day-for-day credit. One count of assault with intent to commit sexual penetration; one count of assault by strangulation; and one count of failure to register as a sex offender were dismissed.
– David Allen Wellington, 20, of 2800 W. Buchanan Rd., Shelby, was found guilty, May
28, 2013, of gross indecency male/female and probation violation. He was sentenced, May 12, to one year in jail with credit for 150 days served; 51 months probation; and $180 in fines and costs. Sentence is to be served at the court’s discretion with 10 months forthwith. All prior conditions of probation are continued. He must register as a sex offender. Holmes Youthful Trainee Act status is revoked.
– Michael Shawn Kelly, 53, of 124 N. Bogue St., Walkerville, was found guilty, March 21, of altering or forging a document. He was sentenced, May 12, to one year in jail with credit for five days served; sentenced to be served at the court’s discretion with 60 days forthwith; $800 in restitution; and $198 in fines and costs. Restitution is joint and several with the co-defendant. One count of unlawful driving away of a motor vehicle was dismissed. In another case, Kelly was found guilty of unlawful driving away of a motor vehicle. He was sentenced to one year in jail with credit for two days served; sentence to be served at the court’s discretion with 60 days forthwith; 18 months probation; and $198 in fines and costs.
– Rochelle Ann-Louise Kelly, 38, of 124 N. Bogue St., Walkerville, was found guilty, March
21, of altering or forging a document. She was sentenced, May 12, to 11 months in jail with credit for four days served; sentenced to be served at the court’s discretion with 20 days forthwith; one year probation; $800 in restitution; and $198 in fines and costs. One count of unlawful driving away of a motor vehicle was dismissed. Restitution is joint and several with the co-defendant.

Dustin Jarrod Kokx, 19, of 4935 E. Buchanan Rd., Hesperia, was found guilty, March 21, of breaking and entering with intent. He was sentenced, May 12, to one year in jail with credit for 81 days served; sentence to be served at the court’s discretion with 165 days forthwith; two years probation; $2,439.80 in restitution; and $198 in fines and costs. One count of receiving and concealing stolen property $1,000-$2,000 was dismissed. Restitution is joint and several with the co-defendant.
