Storm possible today, area under weather advisory

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has issued a significant weather advisory for the area. At 9:33 a.m. radar indicated strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Hesperia to Belding to St. Johns to Williamston, moving northeast at 30 mph.

Frequent dangerous cloud to ground lightning and brief heavy downpours are likely with these storms.
