Believe it or not, a winter weather advisory has been issued for our area. The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has issued an advisory from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday. Freezing rain is expected to develop during the early morning hours Thursday. One-tenth to a 1/4 inch of freezing rain is forecasted.

For the rest of today, partly cloudy skies with a high of 44 degrees F. Winds, north-northwest at 5 to 15 mph. Tonight, expect mainly cloudy skies into evening and then a light mix of wintry precipitation overnight. Low around 30 degrees F. Winds, northeast at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of snow, 50%.
