LUDINGTON  ‐ Valarie A. Bergstrom has been promoted to vice president market leader for Manistee County. Bergstrom will be responsible for maintaining the Bank’s standard of providing a high level of service to customers in her supervision of retail employees. She will be responsible for coordinating the customer experience and assuring financial needs are being met in two West Shore Bank Manistee office locations as well as the Fountain office.

Bergstrom has worked with West Shore Bank for over nine years and is a long‐time resident of Manistee. She is a past board member of Manistee Area Public Schools and is currently serving as the chair of the planning committee for the Manistee Area Chamber of Commerce Business Expo.

“It’s critically important we place experienced executives in the communities we serve and empower them to engage the full resources of our bank to better meet the needs of community and municipal organizations, businesses, homeowners and retail customers,” said CEO/President Raymond Biggs. “This is one of the most powerful advantages a community bank like West Shore Bank has over banks with headquarters outside the area. It means we can be better in tune with the communities we serve and react quickly. Valarie is a strong leader and will be an asset in our Manistee market area.”

Locally, West Shore Bank has branches in Walkerville and Hart.
