78th District Court sentencings, as of March 5, 2014

HART — The following were sentenced this week in 78thDistrict Court:

–      Francis Toledo, 39, of 13870 N Traditions, Holland, was found guilty March 3 of sex offender — attempted failure to comply with reporting duties. He was sentenced to $200 in fines and costs and one year discretionary jail.

–      Jeremiah Robert Martin, 19, of 5730 W. Fox Rd., Mears, was found guilty March 3 of controlled substance – possession of marijuana. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail with credit for 90 days served; $225 in fines and costs; one year discretionary jail; and driver’s license suspended for six months.

–      Joe Allen Mackey, 62, of 1120 W. Shelby Rd., Shelby, was found guilty March 3 of operating while impaired. He was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); and $1,040 in fines and costs. Counts of transporting open intoxicants and operating while impaired by liquor were dismissed. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

–      Dale Edward Kalsbeek, 56, of 4660 69th Ave., Shelby, was found guilty March 3 of operating while impaired. He was sentenced to AHSE; 93 days discretionary jail; and $1,040 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed.

–      Donald Leroy Achterhoff, Jr., 39, of 4668 S. 132ndAve., Hesperia, was found guilty March 3 of domestic violence. He was sentenced to 93 days discretionary jail and $525 in fines and costs.

–      Amy Lynn Trevino, 21, of 4127 W. Hayes Rd., New Era, was found guilty March 3 of controlled substance – possession of marijuana. She was sentenced to nine days in jail; one year discretionary jail; and $550 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
