Vietnam wall stopping in Hart July 7-11.
HART — A Vietnam traveling memorial is scheduled to make a stop at the Oceana County Fairgrounds July 7-11.
The memorial was scheduled to visit Hart last summer but was canceled due to COVID-19.
It is 80 percent the size of the national monument in Washington DC, which is the largest replica.
The wall stopped in Hart for an afternoon in 2014 as it was being towed on a trailer on its way to Ludington. This year, residents will have several days to visit the wall on display.
Inscribed on the black granite wall are the names of more than 58,000 men and women who gave their lives or remain missing.
Those wishing to volunteer can pick up volunteer forms at the Oceana County Department of Veterans Affairs office at 844 S. Griswold St., Suite 100, in Hart.
