Tim Tubbs was officially appointed assistant chief.

“You both have a right to be very proud of your accomplishments over the last few years,” said White. Both Fuehring and Tubbs have completed all of the requirements to become chief officers and have demonstrated “the willingness to make sacrifices to achieve those positions.”

Both men were presented their badges and pins by each of their wives, and Fuehring received the chief helmet and blazer.

“The last three and a half years it’s been an extreme pleasure to work with you,” said White. “Every job you were given, you handled exceptionally well. You’ve been innovative and you brought up things that needed my attention. Today, you are the face of the Hart Area Fire Department.
