Man accused of firing shots inside home while threatening 71-year-old father.
OTTO TOWNSHIP — A 36-year-old Hesperia man was arrested by Michigan State Police troopers Monday, Nov. 23, shorty before 8 p.m. on charges of felonious assault, felony firearm and felon in possession of a firearm after allegedly threatening his 71-year-old father with a revolver and firing the weapon inside the home located in the 4900 block of South 148th Avenue, according to Trooper Trevor Beck.
No injuries occurred, said Beck. “Troopers were able to make contact with the suspect by calling him on the phone when he was inside the house. They talked him into coming out peacefully, and he was arrested without incident.”
Shots were fired at the floor of the home, said Beck.
The police report is being sent to the Oceana County Prosecutor’s Office.
