The Oceana County Road Commission has eight road construction projects scheduled so far for the upcoming season, which total nearly $1.5 million.
The most costly project is re-paving 1.7 miles of Deer Road in Golden Township from 48th Avenue to 34th Avenue at a cost of $510,172. The project entails crushing, shaping and paving, said OCRC Managing Director Mark Timmer.
More projects are pending township approval. “I have many quotes out to townships that I expect to hear back once they have their respective meetings,” said Timmer. The road projects are funded through road commission and township funds.
