Sen. Hansen honored by state library association.
LANSING — Sen. Goeff Hansen, R-Hart, was recently awarded the 2017 Michigan Library Association Lifetime Achievement Award. Fremont Area District Library Director Ray Arnett presented the award to Hansen at the Fremont District Library on Thursday, Sept. 21.
As chairman of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on School Aid, Hansen has directed state budgets that allocate funding for the Library of Michigan in Lansing, operational funding for public libraries, and funding to reimburse libraries located in Renaissance Zones.
Sen. Hansen represents the Michigan 34th Senate district.
