OCEANA COUNTY — Oceana County Emergency Management will conduct a siren test next Monday, June 5, at 10 a.m.
Siren tests are being conducted on the first Monday of each month through September. Oceana County’s severe weather outdoor warning sirens are being tested.
If there is the possibility of impending severe weather on the day of the test, it will be cancelled, said OCEM Coordinator James Duram.
“Outdoor warning sirens are intended to notify people who are outdoors that there is a severe weather situation occurring, and they should seek shelter immediately. These are not intended to warn you if you are inside your home,” Duram said.
